This Suite is named after the American novelist and poet who used it as his study between the two world wars, at a time when he was writing criticism for The New Yorker under the pseudonym of Samuel Jeake, Jr. The Suite is on the top floor - and we ought to mention the fact that our stairs are somewhat medieval. The large bay window has a window seat and armchairs, a hospitality tray and television. The views are quite stunning, and it’s a wonderful place in which to relax and take a few moments to step back in time. The king-sized four-poster bed is draped in English Toile. There are a roll-top bath en-suite and an adjoining single room should you need to use it as a dressing room or for an additional person.
